From the beginning, we have sought attorneys who share our vision of exceeding client expectations with superior legal service. As a result, we have consistently grown by attracting some of Delaware’s finest attorneys.
Attorneys seek out Berger McDermott for the opportunity to work on sophisticated and noteworthy legal disputes and transactions in a collegial, small–firm setting.
Summer Associates and Lateral Associates
Our summer associate program, which gives law students real-world experience in our firm’s various practice areas, is our primary pathway for entry-level recruitment. We also zealously recruit talented lateral associates who share our vision and seek to hone their skills and accelerate their careers.
Our small size gives young attorneys significant opportunities to collaborate with partners and deliver on client needs. Entry-level and lateral associates alike benefit from our unique culture centered on training and mentorship. Our associates work directly with partners, who pride themselves on challenging and supporting young lawyers to grow intellectually.
Partners
At Berger McDermott, we are committed to targeted, strategic growth at the partner level with the goal of maintaining and advancing our firm’s distinguished reputation. We are equally interested in experienced attorneys who work in our existing practice areas, as well as attorneys with practices and expertise that complement and expand our existing services.
We are also committed to the entrepreneurial spirit upon which our firm was founded. Our platform gives partners the freedom to explore and advance their practice. Free of the bureaucracy often employed at other firms, our partners grow successful practices in a cooperative and supportive environment. Â
Corporate and Business Transactions Attorney

Ideal candidates will have experience providing third-party legal opinions and working with Delaware’s alternative entity statutes. Delaware bar admission is required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
