Periann Doko is a corporate and commercial litigation partner representing businesses and executives in complex corporate disputes. With over 15 years of experience practicing in state and federal courts, Periann advises clients in insurance coverage disputes and the interpretation and enforcement of complex contractual provisions in high-stakes commercial matters. Periann is recognized for her effective advocacy and has achieved favorable outcomes through trial, motion practice, and negotiated resolutions.

In 2023, Periann was appointed by the Delaware Supreme Court to serve as a member of the Delaware Board of Bar Examiners.  She is an active member of the Rodney Inn of Court, Women in the Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Prior to joining Berger McDermott, Periann managed the Delaware office of an insurance defense firm and was named a 2023 Delaware Today Top Lawyer in insurance law. Before entering private practice, Periann served as a Deputy Attorney General with the Delaware Department of Justice for over eleven years, prosecuting felony criminal matters in the Delaware Superior Court and heading the Child Predator Unit.

Periann is an Adjunct Professor at Widener University Delaware Law School, where she teaches legal writing, interviewing and counseling, and digital forensics in criminal law.
